The Quarry application (the “App”) is the The Quarry’s official mobile application. In this context, We are firmly committed to the security and protection of integrity of the Users of the Services (as defined in the Terms of Service).  

This Privacy Policy describes what personal information You may share with Us when activating and using the Services, how We receive, collect and use this data and how You may uninstall the App or opt-out of the Services at any time, altogether preventing use of the data shared via the Services.

This Privacy Policy is incorporated into and is subject to the Terms of Service. Your use of the Services and any information You provide through the Services remains subject to this Privacy Policy and the Terms of Service.

All capitalized terms used in this Privacy Policy and which are not defined therein shall have the meaning ascribed to them in the Terms of Service. Reference to "we" or "We" or "us" or "Us" in this Privacy Policy shall be deemed as references to Gastronomic Bahrain Leisure Company W.L.L, and the terms "our" or "Our" will be construed accordingly. Reference to "you" or "You" in this Privacy Policy shall be deemed as references to the User as set out in the Terms of Service, and the terms "your" or "Your" will be construed accordingly.

Information Collected and Received

The App, depending on Your use of the Services, may collect, use, store and transfer the below information in order to advance, deliver and protect Our Services:

Installation

When You install the App, We will collect some technical information from Your device in order to be able to provide You with the Services, namely Your IP address, the unique device ID number, the type of mobile device You use and what operating system, operator, screen resolution and version of the App You use. This information will not be used to identify You personally. We will, however, use this data for statistics and user support as long as You use the Services.

We will also collect the GUID from the mobile device that You are using to access the App. The "Globally Unique Identifier" or "GUID" is a special type of identifier used in software applications in order to provide a unique reference number for applications like those used by Your mobile device.

User Profile

Where the User registers a user profile in the App and confirms being the holder of a certain number via an SMS, the information up-loaded to the profile section of the App will be received and stored by Us until the User changes or deletes such data or terminates the Services. Compulsory information when creating a profile page is the User’s first name, last name, date of birth, phone number and email address. We will also collect, use and store subscriptions made by You on the App.

Please note that the You are personally responsible for any content uploaded to and displayed on Your user profile.

 

Financial and Transaction Data

In case you make a financial transaction using our Services, we will collect and store financial and transaction data including bank account and payment card details, payment history details about payments to and from You and other details of products and services you have purchased from Us.

Other Collected Information

-          Your geolocation, that You voluntarily provide to Us; You can choose whether or not to allow the App to collect and use real-time information about Your device's location through the device's privacy settings. If You block the use of location information, some parts of the App may then be inaccessible or not function properly.

 

-          Smart watch data that You voluntarily provide to Us in case You use the App while Your smart watch is connected to Your phone;

 

-          Communications with us via social media platforms, email, electronic messages and other electronic and non-electronic communications;

 

-          Third party partner information related to how You use our third-party partners, such as Your reviews of Our merchant partners or other service providers;

 

-          Your networks and connections made available to Us, depending on the permissions You have granted;

 

-          Marketing and Communications Data includes your preferences in receiving marketing from Us and Our third parties and Your communication preferences.

 

We also collect, use and share aggregated data such as statistical or demographic data for any purpose without identifying You.

Use, Sharing and Disclosure of User Information

We may disclose information related to You if we believe such action is necessary to:

a)      comply with the law, or legal process served on us;

b)      protect and defend our rights or property (including the enforcement of our agreements);

c)      act in urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety of Users or members of the public; or

d)      to implement our agreements and fulfil our obligations. Our written agreements with agents and contractors ensure that personal information can only be used for the purposes for which it was shared with them, and that they handle the personal information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. Some of Our agents and contractors are subject to foreign laws, including laws that may require disclosure of personal information to government agencies in those countries.

In order to provide You with the Services you have requested, We may sometimes, if necessary, share Your above-mentioned information and traffic data with trusted partner service providers and/or agents, e.g. banking organizations or other providers of payment and analytical services or SMS services. We will always require these third parties to take appropriate organizational and technical measures to protect your personal data and traffic data and to observe the relevant legislation.

The following is a description of how We may share information about you with trusted third-party partners. Should We add additional partners, this description will be updated:

1. We use a third-party partner company in order to send You SMS when you use the Services. In order to send you the SMS, we send the third-party company Your phone number. This third-party SMS partner is contractually obligated only to use this phone number for the transmission of the requested SMS.

2. We may use Push Notification Services to notify you about up-dates and important information. In such cases, Your phone number may be part of the notification. This message is sent to the push notification service provider, for delivery to Your device. You may, however, at any time-opt out or disable push notifications in the App.

We may, from time to time, ask You to provide information on your experiences from using the Services, which will be used to measure and improve quality. You are at no time under any obligation to provide any of such data. Any and all information which is voluntarily submitted in feedback forms or any surveys that You accept to take part in is used for the purposes of reviewing this feedback and improving the Our software, products and websites.

The App may include links to third-party websites, plug-ins and applications. Clicking on those links or enabling those connections may allow third parties to collect or share data about You. We do not control these third-party websites and are not responsible for their privacy statements. When You leave Our App, we encourage you to read the privacy policy of every website or application You visit.

Cookies and Automatically Collected Information

We use so called “Cookies” in connection with the Services. Cookies are pieces of information stored on Your computer's hard drive and/or other device’s browser for a certain period of days. The use of Cookies is standard practice. Cookies do not enable any access to and/or inspection of other information on Your computer or other device. If You do not wish to receive cookies, or wish to be notified of when they are placed, You may set your web browser to do so, if your browser so permits.

The App uses Google Analytics, a web analytics solution by Google. Google Analytics also adds cookies to Your device when You visit our website or interact with certain parts of the App and collects usage information to create statistics for Us. See Google's privacy policy for details.

Our servers may automatically collect data about Your Internet address when You use the Services. This information, known as an Internet Protocol address, or “IP Address”, is a number that is automatically assigned to Your computer or other device by Your Internet service provider whenever You are on the Internet. When You request pages from the Services, our servers may log Your IP Address and, if applicable, Your domain name. Your IP Address is used to help identify You and to gather demographic information about Our Users as a whole. Our servers may also record the referring page that linked you to the App (e.g. another app or website or a search engine); the pages You visit on the Services; the ads You see and/or click on; other information about the type of web browser, computer, platform, related software and settings You are using; and other web usage activity and data logged by Our servers. We use this information for internal system administration, to help diagnose problems with servers, and to administer our Services. Such information may also be used to gather demographic information.

Information Security

We take all reasonable precaution to protect Your data, information and other content transferred by You as a result of using the Services from misuse, loss and unauthorized access. Although we cannot guarantee this information will not be subject to unauthorized access, We have physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards in place to protect it. The information is protected by secured networks to which access is limited to a few authorized employees, agents, contractors and other third parties who have a business need to know. They will only process Your personal data on Our instructions and they are subject to a duty of confidentiality.

However, We cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to Us and You do so at Your own risk. Using unsecured WIFI or other unprotected networks to submit messages or communications or any information through the Services is never recommended.

We will notify You and any relevant regulator of a breach where we are legally required to do so.

Information Retention

We will retain Your personal data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. We will retain and use Your personal data to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations (for example, if we are required to retain your data to comply with applicable laws), accounting or reporting requirements, resolve disputes, and enforce our legal agreements and policies.

In some circumstances We may anonymize Your personal data for research or statistical purposes in which case We may use this information indefinitely without further notice to You.

We will also retain Usage Data for internal analysis purposes. Usage Data is generally retained for a shorter period of time, except when this data is used to strengthen the security or to improve the functionality of Our Services, or We are legally obligated to retain this data for longer time periods.

Accuracy of Collected Information

We may on Our own initiative, or at Your request, replenish, rectify or erase any incomplete, inaccurate or outdated information retained by Us in connection with the operation of the Services. You have always the right to know what information is stored about You and access it, have any data corrected, or deleted upon Your request, object to processing of Your personal data, request restriction of processing your personal data, and withdraw consent.

Persons Under Age of 18 Years

Our Services are not intended for or designed to attract anyone under the age of 18 and We do not intentionally or knowingly collect personal information in the Services from anyone under that age. We encourage parents to be involved in the online activities of their children to ensure that no information is collected from a child without parental permission. If You are under 18, do not use or provide any information on Our App, or on The Quarry Website, make any purchases through our App, or provide any information about yourself to Us, including Your name, address, telephone number, e-mail address or any screen name or user name You may use without legal parental or guardian consent. If We learn We have collected or received personal information from a person under 18 without verification of parental consent, We will delete that information. If You believe We might have any information from or about a person under 18 for which there is no legal parental or guardian consent, please contact Us.

Changes to this Privacy Policy and Your Duty to Inform Us of any Change

We may at any time with or without a separate notice change this Privacy Policy, and You are encouraged and expected to review this Policy every time You use the Services.
